During an extraordinary plenary meeting of the ULPGC Social Council, Manuel Ramírez reported that during 2021 the Canary Island government will organize various working sessions with the aim of designing “a specific approach to university education in the Canary Islands which meets society’s demands”.

During his first visit to the island after taking office the rector met with the leadership teams of the Nursing Teaching Unit [Unidad Docente de Enfermería] and the centre affiliated with the School of Tourism. This was in order to gauge their needs and evaluate future options for new undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications.
