The Alumni Association

To serve as a link between society and the University, to contribute to the social prestige of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and to become a reference point for collaboration for its students and graduates. This is the philosophy from which the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria’s Alumni Association emerged.

We therefore embarked upon this exciting venture, with the unconditional support of the ULPGC Social Council and the Rectorate team and with our conviction that through an association of previous students it is possible to create synergies, encourage initiatives and promote collaboration, so that the University’s graduates have access to support during their first forays into the world of work. However, our association was also born with the aim of becoming an important link between the professional and business sectors and the University, so they may grow together.

Thousands of graduates, educated at the UPLGC, currently play an important role within our society and within our productive fabric. Many of them are true social leaders, holding senior positions within our businesses and institutions. Ultimately, they are the talent which should bind us; the driving force of a university closely linked to the society which 30 years ago bought about its creation.

At the ULPGC Alumni Association we are committed to ensuring the University continues to contribute to the development of our region. Therefore, our efforts will focus on the dissemination and promotion of the University’s work within the social and business sectors, while also encouraging initiatives which promote the integration of our graduates into the labour market, in addition to strengthening the ties between different economic and professional sectors under the auspices of the University.

We aspire to be the glue that binds these shared aims and which promotes the exchange of ideas, projects, and resources, in order to complete this vital circle of collaboration between the University, society, and businesses.
