The Public Speaking Workshop is leading the way within the Spanish public university sphere, allowing students to receive training in communication and public speaking skills through two types of educational initiative.
On the one hand, the Public Speaking Workshop offers a series of workshops providing strategies and activities designed to develop the following skills: team work, research, reasoning, and oral communication. These workshops offer theoretical knowledge and the opportunity to put into practice those skills necessary for competitive debates.
The workshops are led by former ULPGC students who have taken part in previous University Debate Leagues organised by the ULPGC Social Council, and by experts in public speaking theory.
On the other hand, the Public Speaking Workshop offers lectures from communication skills experts. These are open to the whole university community and to the general public.
