The chairman, Jesús León Lima, expressed his interest to Manuel Ramírez in continuing to drive the social undertakings of the ULPGC, expanding the academic institution’s collaboration with the Canary Islands’ society and businesses
The initiative is driven by the Fundación ONCE [The Spanish National Organisation for the Blind], Fundación CEOE [The Spanish Confederation of Employers’ Associations], and the Conference of Social Councils of Spanish Universities, of which the ULPGC Social Council is a member.
After being crowned winners of the ULPGC’s 12th Debate League in April 2019, this group, comprised of students studying the undergraduate law degree, the joint degree in business administration and management and law, and the masters in law, will face the team from the University of Zaragoza in the quarter-finals.
The plenary approved both reports, which reveal the work undertaken by the Social Council during 2019 “and represent our being held accountable to the Canary Island society”
